San Jose outgunned Olimpia to take 2-1 lead in the championship series. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-66. San Jose forced 19 Olimpia turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Olimpia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Panamanian center Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American forward Scott Rogers (196, college: Trine) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brandon Bowman (205-84, college: Georgetown, agency: David Lee Services) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Roquez Johnson (201-92, college: Mississippi St.) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Olimpia. Olimpia's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
