LNB Round 1: San Jose hands first loss to Sol de America

The Regular Season in LNB just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Sol de America in Asuncion on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by San Jose 116-61. San Jose well out of reach of Sol de America shooting 71.9 percent from the field. They outrebounded Sol de America 41-24 including a 39-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. San Jose looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Sol de America's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Vincenzo Ochipinti (191-1999) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). At the losing side Argentinian Nelson Peralta (195-1992) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: Libertad A. and Colonias G.. Libertad A. crushed visiting Colonias G. by 19 points 98-79. Jorge Martinez nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Fabrizio Aquino came up with 18 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for Colonias G. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
