Sebastian Picton gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNB (by Hoops Agents)

Argentinian Sebastian Picton (197-F-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader San Jose and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 29-year old forward had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for San Jose in his team's victory, helping them to beat Colonias G. (#3, 3-3) 81-75. It allowed San Jose to consolidate first place in the Paraguayan LNB. San Jose have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Picton had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be San Jose's top player in his first season with the team. Picton has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 7.2rpg) and averages solid 58.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian point guard Juan Pablo Corbalan (185-PG-1998) of Colonias G.. Corbalan impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Colonias G. lost that game 71-78 to slightly higher-ranked San Jose (#1, 5-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Colonias G. still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Corbalan is one of the most experienced players at Colonias G. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.6ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 8.4rpg and 5.2apg.

The third best performed player last round was Rodney Ruiz of Sol de America (#4). Ruiz scored 27 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Ruiz's great performance Sol de America lost 68-97 to #2 ranked Libertad A.. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Sol de America can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. They have awful season losing so far all 6 games. Ruiz has a very solid season. In 6 games in Paraguay he scored 12.5ppg.
