Juan Marti had an amazing evening in the last round for Sol de America and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The had the game-high 38 points adding eight rebounds for Sol de America in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Atletico C. (#6, 2-9) 78-75. Sol de America maintains the 8th position in Paraguayan LNB. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Sol de America have already lost 10 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Marti had a remarkable 78.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sol de America, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Marti has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.9ppg) and averages solid 68.8% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Alejandro Peralta (195-F-1991, agency: Interperformances) of league's best team San Jose. Peralta impressed basketball fans with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led San Jose to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Colonias G. (#5, 6-5) 96-57. Of course San Jose still keep the league's top spot. He plays for the best team in the league and San Jose managed to win all 11 games keeping a perfect record. Peralta is one of the most experienced players at San Jose and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was American Thomas Cooper (196-G-1992) of second-ranked Olimpia K.. Cooper showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Olimpia K., leading his team to a 84-78 win against #4 ranked Libertad A. in a game of the week. Olimpia K. is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 9-2 record is not that bad... Cooper has a very solid season. In 2 games in Paraguay he scored 23.0ppg.
