Argentinian Guard Jazmin Mercado (171-G-1989) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Felix Perez, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, five rebounds and five assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Deportivo SJ (#5, 0-4) with 65-point margin 85-20. It allowed Felix Perez to consolidate first place in the Paraguayan Metropolitan League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Felix Perez already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Mercado has many years of experience at Felix Perez, through which she has constantly improved. Jazmin Mercado has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 21.0ppg and is league's best passer with 6.0apg. Mercado is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.5spg,73.7% FGP and 57.1% from behind 3-point line.
The second best player in last round's games was young Pamela Encina (2005) of league's second-best Sol de Amer.. Encina had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Sol de Amer. cruised to a 77-70 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Libertad (#3, 2-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Sol de Amer. consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Encina is one of the most experienced players at Sol de Amer. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#2). Her other stats are also decent: 9.8rpg and 4.3apg.
Third on the list of top players last round was Liz Peralta (2001) of Libertad (#3). Peralta scored 15 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Peralta's great performance Libertad lost 70-77 to #2 ranked Sol de Amer.. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Libertad needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Peralta has a great season in Paraguay. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 10.3ppg (5th best), rebounds with 8.3rpg (3rd best) and assists with 0.0apg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
