Britez's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

21-year old center Ana Britez (174-C-2002) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Felix Perez and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed Sol de Amer. (#3, 3-3) with 31-point margin 93-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Felix Perez to consolidate first place in the Paraguayan Metropolitan League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Felix Perez already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Britez has many years of experience at Felix Perez, through which she has constantly improved. Britez has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 10.8ppg), rebounds (6th best: 6.7rpg) and averages solid 73.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Micaela Sosa of Deportivo SJ. She is a in her first season at Deportivo SJ. In the last game Sosa recorded impressive 24 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Deportivo SJ lost that game 65-80 to the higher-ranked Olimpia (#2, 3-3). Deportivo SJ are still at the very bottom. 5 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Sosa is a newcomer at Deportivo SJ and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.0ppg (#4). She also registered 5.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Maria Pereira (160-G-2001) of league's second-best Olimpia. Pereira showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. She was a key player of Olimpia, leading her team to a 80-65 easy win against Deportivo SJ (#5, 0-5). Olimpia needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. The season just started for Pereira as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.
