Ochipinti number one in Paraguay LNB for round 5

Naturalized Italian Swingman Vincenzo Ochipinti (191-G/F-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked San Jose, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, four rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Campo Alto (#6, 0-4) with 34-point margin 100-66. San Jose maintains the 2nd position in Paraguayan LNB. They are still close to the very top. San Jose would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Ochipinti had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be San Jose's top player in his first season with the team. Vincenzo Ochipinti averages this season 12.4ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was Juan Poison of Colonias. Poison had a very good evening with a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Colonias to edge slightly higher-ranked Olimpia K. (#1, 4-1) 73-70. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Colonias consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Poison is a newcomer at Colonias, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Adolfo Lopez (199-F-1989) of Libertad A. (#5). Lopez scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Lopez's great performance Libertad A. lost 76-78 to Felix Perez (2-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Libertad A. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lopez could help Libertad A. to bring them higher in the standings. Lopez has a great season in Paraguay. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.8ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 6.6rpg (5th best).
