Scott number one in Paraguay LNB for round 8

American Guard Stan Scott (193-G-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Felix Perez, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Libertad A. (#4, 4-6) 72-69. Felix Perez maintains the 5th position in Paraguayan LNB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Felix Perez's top player in his first season with the team. Stan Scott averages this season 23.3ppg and 8.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Adolfo Lopez (199-F-1989) of Libertad A.. Lopez had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Libertad A. was edged by slightly lower-ranked Felix Perez (#5, 3-7) 72-69. Libertad A. is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Lopez is a newcomer at Libertad A., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.7ppg (#5). He also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Libertad A.'s star - international guard Jorge Martinez (178-PG-1998). Martinez scored 21 points and passed eight assists. Despite Martinez's great performance Libertad A. lost 69-72 to slightly lower-ranked Felix Perez (#5, 3-7). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of Libertad A. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Martinez could help Libertad A. to bring them higher in the standings. Martinez has a great season in Paraguay. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.0ppg (4th best) and assists with 6.7apg (best passer).
