Poison number one in Paraguay LNB for round 6 (by Hoops Agents)

Juan Poison had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Colonias Gold, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The player was the main contributor (15 points, five rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Libertad A. (#6, 1-4) 63-59. Colonias is placed at 2nd position in Paraguayan LNB. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Colonias will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Poison turned to be Colonias' top player in his first season with the team. Juan Poison has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 13.3ppg), rebounds (5th best: 7.0rpg) and assists (4th best: 5.0apg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Colonias' star - young Venezuelan Javinger Vargas (202-C-1990). Vargas had a very good evening with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Colonias Gold to edge the lower-ranked Libertad A. (#6, 1-4) 63-59. This victory allowed Colonias to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Vargas is one of the most experienced players at Colonias and similarly like Juan Poison has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Leandro Ferreira (184-G-1994) of Libertad Asuncion (#6). Ferreira scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Ferreira's great performance the Libertad lost 59-63 to the higher-ranked Colonias (#2, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Libertad can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Ferreira has a very solid season. In 5 games in Paraguay he scored 6.6ppg.
