Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most interesting game of round 6 in the Metropolitan League was a home defeat of 3rd ranked Deportivo SJ (3-2) to second ranked Olimpia (4-1) 76-65. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Olimpia forced 23 Deportivo SJ turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international Marta Peralta (171-1994) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Antonella Luraghi (-2006) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Olimpia's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international center Adela Cardenas (180-1999) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Olimpia keeps a position of league leader. Deportivo SJ at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Olimpia are looking forward to face Colonias (#5) in the next round. Deportivo SJ will play against Ciudad Nueva and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

Sofia Villasboa notched 10 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Joaquina Marin supported her with 5 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Even 6 points and 10 rebounds by Araceli Fernandez did not help to save the game for Ciudad Nueva. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Felix Perez have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory Felix Perez went down to second position due to points difference. Ciudad Nueva at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Felix Perez's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Sol de Amer..

Metropolitan League top team - Felix Perez (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Ciudad Nueva (0-5) 87-29. Felix Perez dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ciudad Nueva's 18. Felix Perez forced 38 Ciudad Nueva turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Felix Perez players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ciudad Nueva's players. Sofia Villasboa notched 10 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Joaquina Marin supported her with 5 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.
