Bareiro's 21 points and 7 assists give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old forward Diego Bareiro (195-F-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for Libertad Asuncion and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 21 points adding seven rebounds and seven assists for Libertad A. in his team's victory, helping them to crush Ciudad N. (#7, 1-8) with 21-point margin 94-73. Libertad maintains the 5th position in Paraguayan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just three victories. It was one of impressive evenings for Bareiro as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Bareiro has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 6.0rpg), assists (7th best: 4.1apg) and averages solid 69.2% FGP and 51.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Edwin Mijares (186-PG-1992) of Colonias Gold. He is Venezuelan guard in his first season at Colonias. In the last game Mijares recorded an impressive 19 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists. Bad luck as Colonias was edged by slightly lower-ranked Felix Perez (#4, 5-3) 85-81. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Colonias still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 6-4 record is not bad at all. Mijares is one of the most experienced players at Colonias and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Libertad A.'s star - center Nestor Lopez (205-C-2000). Lopez scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Libertad Asuncion, helping his team with a 94-73 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Ciudad N. (#7, 1-8). The chances of Libertad not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lopez could try to bring Libertad A.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Lopez has individually a great season in Paraguay. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.1rpg (8th best).
