The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: Felix Perez (#1) and Olimpia (#2). Olimpia was smashed at home by 26 points 53-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Olimpia. Felix Perez forced 19 Olimpia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international guard Ximena Ibarra (172-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Paloma Niz (175-1999) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Gabriela Bernal (-2007) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Olimpia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Felix Perez (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Olimpia at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Felix Perez are looking forward to face Colonias (#5) in the next round.
