Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: Felix Perez (#1) and Olimpia (#2). Olimpia was smashed at home by 26 points 53-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Olimpia. Felix Perez forced 19 Olimpia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international guard Ximena Ibarra (172-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Paloma Niz (175-1999) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Gabriela Bernal (-2007) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Olimpia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Felix Perez (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Olimpia at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Felix Perez are looking forward to face Colonias (#5) in the next round. Olimpia will play against Ciudad Nueva and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
The game between fourth ranked Sol de Amer. (3-4) and 5th ranked Colonias (1-5) in Asuncion ended with biggest points difference. Sol de Amer. outscored guests from 95-51. Worth to mention a quality performance of Maria Godoy who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Ana Moreira who added 23 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Lucia Lopez responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sol de Amer. maintains fourth position with 3-4 record. Newly promoted Colonias keep the fifth place with five games lost. Sol de Amer. will play against higher ranked Deportivo SJ (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Colonias will play against the league's leader Felix Perez in Asuncion to get more than just one victory in their record.
