Peralta's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Nelson Peralta

35-year old forward Nelson Peralta (198-F-1988) had a great game in the last round for Sol de America Asuncion and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Ciudad N. (#6, 2-9) 70-67. Sol de America maintains the 7th position in Paraguayan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 11 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Peralta had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sol de America, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Peralta has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 8.4ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 6.8rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Rodrigo Acuna (198-PF-1995) of Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion. He is Argentinian forward in his first season at Felix Perez. In the last game Acuna recorded an impressive double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Felix Perez to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Sol de America (#7, 1-11) 87-58. Felix Perez's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-5 record is not bad at all. Acuna is one of the most experienced players at Felix Perez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Giuliano Girett (172-PG-2001) of Atletico Ciudad Nueva (#6). Girett scored 17 points. He was a key player of Ciudad N., leading his team to a 70-67 win against slightly lower-ranked Sol de America (#7, 1-11). Ciudad N. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Girett has individually a great season in Paraguay. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.2apg (2nd best).
