Marta Peralta gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan Metropolitan League

International Shooting guard Marta Peralta (171-SG-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Olimpia Asuncion and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 29-year old shooting guard had the game-high 25 points adding six rebounds and seven assists for Olimpia in her team's victory, helping them to crush Deportivo SJ (#3, 4-4) with 17-point margin 80-63. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Olimpia maintains the 2nd position in Paraguayan Metropolitan League. They are still close to the very top. Olimpia would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Peralta had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Olimpia, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Peralta has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 12.4ppg) and assists (2nd best: 5.4apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international guard Ximena Ibarra (172-G-2001) of league's best team Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion. Ibarra impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Felix Perez to another comfortable win outscoring Ciudad Nueva (#6, 0-8) 87-27. Of course Felix Perez still keep the league's top spot. She plays for the best team in the league and Felix Perez managed to win all 10 games keeping a perfect record. Ibarra is one of the most experienced players at Felix Perez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.1ppg (#2). She also registered 4.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Olimpia's star - Paz Perez. Perez scored 16 points and passed 5 assists. She was another key player of Olimpia Asuncion, helping her team with a 96-48 easy win against the lower-ranked Colonias (#5, 1-7). Olimpia is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Perez has a very solid season. In 9 games in Paraguay she scored 5.2ppg.
