An interesting game for Deportivo SJ (6-4) which hosted in 4th placed Sol de Amer. (4-6). Third ranked Deportivo SJ had an easy win 78-60. Deportivo SJ dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sol de Amer.'s 28. They outrebounded Sol de Amer. 49-26 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Deportivo SJ looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Sol de Amer.'s players. Micaela Sosa orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international center Adela Cardenas (180-1999) contributed with 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ana Doldan answered with 23 points for Sol de Amer.Sol de Amer.'s coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Deportivo SJ did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 64-45 on Monday. It was an exceptional evening for Adela Cardenas who led the winners and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Agatha Mineiro came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Colonias in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Deportivo SJ maintains third place with 6-4 record having four points less than leader Felix Perez. Colonias lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
