Gabriel Peralta gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNB (by Hoops Agents)

Naturalized Argentinian Forward Gabriel Peralta (203-F-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Olimpia Kings and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 29-year old forward had the game-high 23 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Olimpia K. in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Ciudad N. (#6, 1-5) with 35-point margin 92-57. Olimpia K. is placed at 3rd position in Paraguayan LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Olimpia K. will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. It's Peralta's second year at Olimpia K. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Peralta has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.8ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 8.0rpg), assists (9th best: 3.2apg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian forward Fernando Dose (200-F-1994) of league's best team Deportivo San Jose Asuncion. Dose impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led San Jose to another comfortable win outscoring Sol de America (#7, 0-5) 91-67. Of course San Jose still keep the league's top spot. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Dose is well-known by San Jose fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.3ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 5.2rpg and 4.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Dwayne Russell (203-F-1998) of second-ranked Colonias Gold. Russell scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Colonias, leading his team to a 74-68 win against the lower-ranked Libertad A. (#5, 3-3). Colonias needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. The season just started for Russell as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
