Valencia number one in Paraguay LNB for round 12 (by Hoops Agents)

Andres Valencia put on an amazing game in the last round for Colonias Gold, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The player had a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Sol de America (#7, 0-10) with 38-point margin 101-63. Colonias maintains the 3rd position in Paraguayan LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Colonias will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Valencia had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Colonias' top player in his first season with the team. Andres Valencia averages just after three games 16.0ppg and 9.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tony Farmer (201-F-1994) of league's second-best Olimpia Kings. Farmer had a very good evening with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Olimpia K. to edge slightly higher-ranked San Jose (#1, 9-1) 80-77. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Olimpia K. consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 8 matches. Farmer is a newcomer at Olimpia K., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Colonias' star - American forward Dwayne Russell (203-F-1998). Russell scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was another key player of Colonias Gold, helping his team with a 101-63 easy win against Sol de America (#7, 0-10). Colonias needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Russell has a great season in Paraguay. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.2ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 7.8rpg (3rd best).
