The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: San Jose and Felix Perez. San Jose won against visiting Felix Perez 103-91. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Felix Perez. San Jose made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. The former international forward Ramon Sanchez (194-1991) stepped up and scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international point guard Edgar Riveros (184-1991) chipped in 26 points. At the losing side the former international Ricardo Sarubbi (-1998) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Felix Perez's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. San Jose's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Asuncion to the arena Colonias.

It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Olimpia K.. American forward Dwayne Russell (203-1998, college: St.Thomas, FL) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Andres Valencia accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) came up with 27 points and 9 rebounds for Olimpia K. in the defeat. Olimpia K.'s coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Colonias' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion San Jose.
