Tony Farmer gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNB (Second Stage)

American Tony Farmer (201-F-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Olimpia Kings and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 30-year old forward had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Olimpia K. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Felix Perez (#4, 6-8) 87-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Olimpia K. maintains the 2nd position in Paraguayan LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Olimpia K. will need more victories to improve their 11-3 record. Farmer turned to be Olimpia K.'s top player in his first season with the team.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Dishon Lowery (200-C-1998) of league's best team Deportivo San Jose Asuncion. Lowery impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as San Jose lost that game 71-82 to Colonias (10-4). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Lowery is a newcomer at San Jose and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Dwayne Russell (203-F-1998) of Colonias Gold (#3). Russell scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Colonias, leading his team to a 82-71 win against #1 ranked San Jose in a game of the week. Colonias needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Russell has a great season in Paraguay. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 8.8rpg (3rd best).

10. Juan Poisson (198-C-1998) of Colonias - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
