Lowery number one in Paraguay LNB for round 4

American Center Dishon Lowery (200-C-1998) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Deportivo San Jose Asuncion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Felix Perez (#4, 6-10) 82-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed San Jose to consolidate first place in the Paraguayan LNB. San Jose have a solid 14-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Lowery as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former Oklahoma Baptist University star has very solid stats this year. Lowery leads league in rebounds with 9.6rpg. Lowery is in league's top in and averages impressive 65.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international Rodney Mercado (191-SF-1999) of league's second-best Olimpia Kings. Mercado had a very good evening with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Olimpia K. to another comfortable win 69-50 over slightly lower-ranked Colonias (#3, 11-5) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Olimpia K. consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 12-4 record is not bad at all. Mercado is well-known at Olimpia K. and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.3ppg (#8). He also registered 4.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another San Jose's star - international forward Alejandro Peralta (195-F-1991, agency: Interperformances). Peralta scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of Deportivo San Jose Asuncion, helping his team with a 82-77 win against #4 ranked Felix Perez. San Jose confirms their top position in the standings. Peralta has a great season in Paraguay. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 10.0ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 5.7rpg (8th best).
