Marta Peralta gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNBF (by Hoops Agents)

International Shooting guard Marta Peralta (171-SG-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Olimpia Asuncion and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 30-year old shooting guard had the game-high 20 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Olimpia in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Deportivo SJ (#3, 1-5) with 28-point margin 81-53. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Olimpia maintains the 2nd position in Paraguayan LNBF. They are still close to the very top. Olimpia would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Peralta had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. She turned to be Olimpia's top player in her first season with the team. Peralta has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 14.8ppg), rebounds (4th best: 7.2rpg), assists (2nd best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 70.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Ana Britez (174-C-2002) of league's best team Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion. Britez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Felix Perez to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Sol de Amer. (#4, 1-5) 96-43. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Felix Perez consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Britez is one of the most experienced players at Felix Perez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.8ppg (#4). She also registered 10.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Olimpia's star - international center Gabriela Bernal (188-C-2007). Bernal scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was another key player of Olimpia Asuncion, helping her team with a 81-53 easy win against #3 ranked Deportivo SJ. Olimpia is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Bernal has a great season in Paraguay. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.0ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 11.6rpg (#1 in league).
