Roque number one in Paraguay LNB for round 1

International Maxsuel Roque had an amazing evening in the last round for Basket San Alfonso, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The player had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Central (#6, 0-2) with 56-point margin 123-67. Thanks to this victory San Alfonso moved-up to the 4th position in Paraguayan LNB. San Alfonso is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Roque had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at San Alfonso and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Maxsuel Roque has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.0rpg) and averages impressive 2.5bpg,53.3% FGP and 71.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was another San Alfonso's star - young Argentinian Nicolas Reyero (183-G-2004). Reyero had a very good evening with 33 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course together with Roque he helped Basket San Alfonso with another comfortable win outscoring Central (0-2) 123-67. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Reyero is one of the most experienced players at San Alfonso and similarly like Maxsuel Roque has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 30.5ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 4.5rpg and 8.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Diego Ortega of Guairena Basquet Club (#4). Ortega got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Ortega's great performance the Guairena lost 75-86 to #3 ranked Amambay. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The season just started for Ortega as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
