The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Felix Perez (2-1) on the court of Amambay on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Amambay 85-78. It was a good game for Brazilian guard Osmar Ventura (190-2004) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian Edegar Alvarenga contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American AJ Cheeseman (202-1998, college: UMES) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for Felix Perez. Felix Perez's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. It was a great evening for Carlos Dos Santos who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Cesar Zarza helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Rodrigo Lopez with 8 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia K.'s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Luqueno beat San Alfonso on the road 79-62. Colonias won against San Alfonso on its own court 70-60. Winless Central lost to undefeated Olimpia K. in Asuncion 44-104. Felix Perez rolled over Guairena at home 104-35. Amambay defeated Ciudad N. on the opponent's court 90-80.
