Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: San Jose (#1) and Felix Perez (#2). Felix Perez was defeated at home 71-86 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Felix Perez. San Jose dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Felix Perez's 32 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Felix Perez 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Argentinian point guard Nicolas Paletta (179-1987) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Fernando Dose (200-1994) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Argentinian center Nicolas Burgos (207-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated San Jose (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Felix Perez at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Asuncion. Third ranked Campo Alto faced one of their biggest challengers San Alfonso. Host Campo Alto (6-4) smashed guests from (3-7) 91-71. Kal Godans orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Henry Leiva contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Campo Alto's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Argentinian guard Nicolas Reyero (183-2004) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for San Alfonso. Newly promoted Campo Alto maintains third position with 6-4 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Olimpia K. San Alfonso at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Luqueno.
Bottom-ranked Guairena (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 66-50 loss to fourth ranked Ciudad N. (3-5) in Asuncion on Monday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Elias Martinez who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Ciudad N.'s coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Diego Ortega responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. Ciudad N. maintains fourth position with 3-5 record. Newly promoted Guairena still closes the standings with eight games lost.

In the last game of round 8 Luqueno crushed Central in a road game 121-45.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Central's (0-10) home loss to fifth ranked Luqueno (3-7) 45-121 on Monday.
