Eduardo Rios gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNB (Second Stage)

Experienced Venezuelan Eduardo Rios (198-PF-1988) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Atletico Ciudad Nueva (they play in Places 5-10) and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 36-year old power forward had a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Guairena (#10, 1-10) 55-45. Ciudad N. is placed at 3rd position in Paraguayan LNB. Ciudad N. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 8th lost game this season out of 13 games. In the team's last game Rios had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Ciudad N., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Eduardo Rios averages this season 17.0ppg and 9.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Silvio Moura of Basket San Alfonso. Moura impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he led San Alfonso to another comfortable win outscoring Luqueno (3-12) 67-47. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Moura is one of the most experienced players at San Alfonso and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.9ppg (#7). He also registered 9.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Brazilian Osmar Ventura (190-G-2004) of Deportivo Amambay (#6). Ventura scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Amambay, leading his team to a 73-63 win against Campo Alto (#5, 8-7). Ventura has a great season in Paraguay. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 9.5rpg (3rd best).

10. Leonardo Ycassatti (188-G-2003) of Amambay - 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
