The best player for the winners was American Desmond Holloway (194-1990, college: Coastal) who scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Henry Leiva chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Joao Lima produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ciudad N. was smashed at home by 24 points 57-81 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Diego Silva orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. Alen Juarez contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Elias Martinez replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds for Ciudad N.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Campo Alto was smashed at home by 38 points 45-83 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Jeremiah Wood had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Olimpia K.'s coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Juan Marti responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Olimpia K. will meet Amambay in the next round where they are favorite. Campo Alto will play against Luqueno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last game of round 2 winless Amambay lost to undefeated San Jose in Asuncion 74-98.
