Ventura number one in Paraguay LNB for round 4 (by Hoops Agents)

Brazilian Guard Osmar Ventura (190-G-2004) had a great game in the last round for Deportivo Amambay, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 21-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Luqueno (#8, 0-3) with 36-point margin 81-45. Amambay is placed at 6th position in Paraguayan LNB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Ventura had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Amambay's top player in his first season with the team. Osmar Ventura has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 15.0ppg), rebounds (8th best: 7.5rpg) and averages impressive 61.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jeremiah Wood (201-C/F-1985) of league's leader Olimpia Kings. Wood had a very good evening with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Olimpia K. to another comfortable win outscoring Ciudad N. (#9, 0-4) 91-62. This victory allowed Olimpia K. to move up to 1st position in the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Wood is a newcomer at Olimpia K., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.3ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 9.7rpg and 4.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian guard Fabio Gauto (190-SG-2002) of Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion (#5). Gauto scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Gauto's great performance the Felix Perez lost 56-62 to the league's current leader San Jose (#2, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Felix Perez not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gauto could try to bring Felix Perez's a little bit higher in the standings. Gauto has a very solid season. In 3 games in Paraguay he scored 12.3ppg.
