Olimpia K. shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Amambay and 7th ranked Campo Alto had identical 2-3 record. This time Amambay used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Asuncion 91-75 on Saturday night. Amambay dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Campo Alto's 24. They outrebounded Campo Alto 48-30 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brazilian guard Osmar Ventura (190-2004) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and Gabriel Riveiro supported him with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Amambay's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 12 points and 5 assists by point guard Giuliano Girett (172-2001) did not help to save the game for Campo Alto. The former international center Guillermo Araujo (204-1982) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Amambay have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Felix Perez and San Alfonso.
