Victor Da Costa gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNB (by Hoops Agents)

Victor Da Costa put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Deportivo Amambay and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The had the game-high 27 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Amambay in his team's victory, helping them to crush Ciudad N. (#8, 1-7) with 18-point margin 83-65. Amambay is placed at 4th position in Paraguayan LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Amambay will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Da Costa had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Victor Da Costa averages this season 8.3ppg and 6.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American Dominique Morrison (198-SF-1989, agency: Haylett Sports) of Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion. Morrison impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Felix Perez to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Campo Alto (#7, 2-5) 91-58. Felix Perez's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Morrison is a newcomer at Felix Perez and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Colombian Carlos Morales (192-SG-2001) of Deportivo Campo Alto Asuncion (#7). Morales scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Morales' great performance the Campo Alto lost 58-91 to slightly higher-ranked Felix Perez (#5, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Morales has a very solid season. In 2 games in Paraguay he scored 17.5ppg.
