Desmond Holloway gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Desmond Holloway (194-SF-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for Basket San Alfonso and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 35-year old had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Luqueno (#9, 0-9) with 19-point margin 79-60. San Alfonso maintains the 6th position in Paraguayan LNB. San Alfonso is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Holloway had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be San Alfonso's top player in his first season with the team. Coastal Carolina College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Holloway is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.7ppg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American swingman Austin Wrighten (192-G/F-1996) of Deportivo San Jose Asuncion. Wrighten impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led San Jose to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Amambay (#5, 5-5) 93-50. San Jose's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 8 matches. Wrighten is a newcomer at San Jose and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. University of Lynchburg alumni Wrighten played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was Colombian Carlos Morales (192-SG-2001) of Deportivo Campo Alto Asuncion (#7). Morales scored 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Morales' great performance the Campo Alto lost 63-101 to the league's current leader Olimpia K. (#1, 10-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Morales has individually a great season in Paraguay. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.4ppg (6th best).

10. Samuel Givens (198-F-1989) of Colonias - 15 points and 5 rebounds
