Poisson's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

27-year old center Juan Poisson (198-C-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Colonias Gold and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Felix Perez (#4, 6-4) with 18-point margin 84-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Colonias maintains the 2nd position in Paraguayan league. They are still close to the very top. Colonias would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 9-2 record. In the team's last game Poisson had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Colonias and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Second best performed player last round was Rodney Mercado (191-SF-1999) of top-ranked Olimpia Kings. He is international in his 3rd season at Olimpia K.. Third place about best performers goes to guard Osmar Ventura (190-G-2004) of Deportivo Amambay (#5). Ventura scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Ventura's great performance the Amambay lost 73-97 to the league's current leader Olimpia K. (#1, 11-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Amambay needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Ventura has a great season in Paraguay. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.9ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 9.2rpg (2nd best).
