Silva's 24 points give him Player of the Week award

Diego Silva had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Colonias Gold and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 24 points adding two rebounds for Colonias in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Olimpia K. (#1, 13-1) with 51-point margin 113-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Colonias is placed at 2nd position in Paraguayan league. They are still close to the very top. Colonias would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Silva had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Colonias' top player in his first season with the team. Silva has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.3ppg), assists (7th best: 3.1apg) and averages solid 49.1% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Carlos Lopez of Atletico Ciudad Nueva. He is a in his first season at Ciudad N.. In the last game Lopez recorded an impressive 21 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he led Ciudad N. to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked San Alfonso (#6, 5-8) 94-55. Ciudad N.'s 8th position in the standings has not changed. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Ciudad N. managed to get this year. Lopez is a newcomer at Ciudad N. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Guillermo Araujo (204-C-1982) of Deportivo Campo Alto Asuncion (#7). Araujo scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Araujo's great performance the Campo Alto lost 70-73 to the higher-ranked Amambay (#4, 8-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Araujo has a very solid season. In 12 games in Paraguay he scored 11.4ppg. He also has 4.8rpg and 1.1bpg.
