Cardenas number one in Paraguay LNBF for round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

International Center Adela Cardenas (180-C-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for Sol de America Asuncion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Luqueno (#5, 0-3) with 43-point margin 100-57. Thanks to this victory Sol de Amer. moved-up to the 4th position in Paraguayan LNBF. Sol de Amer. is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Cardenas had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Adela Cardenas has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 10.7ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 8.0rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was Beatriz Quevedo of Deportivo Luqueno. Quevedo had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Luqueno lost that game 57-100 to Sol de Amer. (1-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Quevedo is a newcomer at Luqueno, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.5ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 14.0rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Spanish guard Claudia Aponte (175-G-1991) of league's top team Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion. Aponte scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Felix Perez, leading her team to a 62-45 easy win against #2 ranked Deportivo SJ in a game of the week. Felix Perez started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Aponte turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Aponte has a great season in Paraguay. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 11.7ppg (7th best), rebounds with 7.7rpg (5th best) and assists with 4.3apg (best passer). Claudia Aponte has also Paraguayan passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
