LNBF Round 3 (Regular Season): Olimpia is defeated by Felix Perez in a derby game

Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: Felix Perez (#1) and Olimpia (#5). Felix Perez (3-0) crushed visiting Olimpia (1-2) by 47 points 87-40. Felix Perez dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia's 24. Felix Perez forced 28 Olimpia turnovers and outrebounded them 39-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Felix Perez looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Olimpia's players. It was a great evening for who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). helped adding 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Felix Perez's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Paz Perez with 14 points. Felix Perez will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpia will play against Luqueno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very significant was Deportivo SJ's (#2, 3-1) victory against Luqueno (0-3) 116-31. It was an exceptional evening for who led the winners and scored 24 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Liz Lopez accounted for 18 points and 5 assists. Beatriz Quevedo came up with 7 points and 8 rebounds for Luqueno in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Deportivo SJ will play against Sol de Amer. (#4) in Asuncion in the next round. Luqueno will play on the road against Olimpia in Asuncion and hopes to get finally their first victory.
