Fernando Dose gets MVP of the Week award for Paraguayan LNB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Naturalized Argentinian Forward Fernando Dose (200-F-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for Deportivo San Jose Asuncion and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 31-year old forward had the game-high 21 points adding six rebounds for San Jose in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Luqueno (#9, 0-15) with 24-point margin 92-68. San Jose maintains the 3rd position in Paraguayan LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. San Jose will need more victories to improve their 11-4 record. In the team's last game Dose had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at San Jose, through which he has constantly improved. Fernando Dose averages this season 10.3ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Brazilian guard Osmar Ventura (190-G-2004) of Deportivo Amambay. Ventura impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Amambay to another comfortable win 74-58 over the lower-ranked Ciudad N. (#8, 3-13) being unquestionably team leader. Amambay's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ventura is a newcomer at Amambay and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.6ppg (#7). He also registered 9.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Diego Silva of second-ranked Colonias Gold. Silva scored 16 points. He was a key player of Colonias, leading his team to a 105-66 easy win against Luqueno (#9, 0-15). Colonias is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 13-2 record is not that bad... Silva has a great season in Paraguay. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (8th best) and assists with 3.1apg (7th best).
