Strings number one in Paraguay LNB for round 19 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Justin Strings (201-F-1996) had a great game in the last round for Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, eight rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Amambay (#5, 9-7) 84-69. Felix Perez maintains the 4th position in Paraguayan LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Felix Perez will need more victories to improve their 10-6 record. Strings turned to be Felix Perez's top player in his first season with the team. Former Sacramento State University star has very solid stats this year. Strings is in league's top in points (5th best: 21.0ppg) and averages impressive 55.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Guillermo Araujo (204-C-1982) of Deportivo Campo Alto Asuncion. Araujo had a very good evening with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Campo Alto lost that game 65-77 to the higher-ranked Colonias (#2, 14-2). Campo Alto is still second from the bottom in the standings. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Campo Alto managed to get this year. Araujo is a newcomer at Campo Alto, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Raven Barber (206-F/C-1991) of Deportivo San Jose Asuncion (#3). Barber showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of San Jose, leading his team to a 114-49 easy win against the lower-ranked San Alfonso (#6, 5-11). San Jose needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 4 lost games. Barber has a very solid season. In 10 games in Paraguay he scored 10.2ppg. He also has 6.4rpg and a FGP of 70.5%.
