26-year old forward Paloma Niz (175-F-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
She had the game-high 18 points adding two rebounds and three assists for Felix Perez in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Deportivo SJ (#3, 0-1) with 34-point margin 84-50. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Felix Perez to take over top position in the Paraguayan LNBF. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Felix Perez won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Niz just recently signed at Felix Perez and it was her first game, where she immediately became new team's leader. Niz has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 18.0ppg), assists (7th best: 3.0apg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 80.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Adela Cardenas (180-C-1999) of Sol de America Asuncion. She is international center in her first season at Sol de Amer.. In the last game Cardenas recorded an impressive 11 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Sol de Amer. lost that game 54-73 to Olimpia (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Cardenas is a newcomer at Sol de Amer. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.0ppg (#9). She also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Sol de Amer.'s star - Maria Morel. Morel showcased her all-around game by recording 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Morel's great performance the Sol de America Asuncion lost 54-73 to #2 ranked Olimpia. The season just started for Morel as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
