The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: Felix Perez (#1) and Sol de Amer. (#4). Sol de Amer. was crushed at home by 55 points 45-100 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Felix Perez dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sol de Amer.'s 26. Felix Perez forced 32 Sol de Amer. turnovers and outrebounded them 46-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. Felix Perez looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Sol de Amer.'s players. The best player for the winners was Beatriz Quevedo who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Belen Pereira chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Adela Cardenas (180-1999) who recorded 10 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Felix Perez are looking forward to face Deportivo SJ (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sol de Amer.'s supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Asuncion to the arena Olimpia.
