Giga number one in Paraguay LNB for round 8 (by Hoops Agents)

Lithuanian Power forward Norbertas Giga (208-F/C-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Colonias Gold, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Amambay (#5, 3-5) 89-86. Colonias is placed at 2nd position in Paraguayan LNB. They are still close to the very top. Colonias would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Giga had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Colonias, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Jacksonville State University star has very solid stats this year. Giga leads league in rebounds with 10.8rpg. Giga is in league's top in assists (8th best: 4.2apg) and averages impressive 57.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Colonias' star - Diego Silva. Silva had a very good evening with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Colonias Gold to edge the lower-ranked Amambay (#5, 3-5) 89-86. This victory allowed Colonias to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 6 matches. Silva is one of the most experienced players at Colonias and similarly like Norbertas Giga has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 6.4rpg and 5.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Colonias' star - Argentinian Hans Feder. Feder scored 27 points and passed 9 assists. He was another key player of Colonias Gold, helping his team with a 89-86 win against the lower-ranked Amambay (#5, 3-5). Colonias is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 6-1 record is not that bad... Feder has a great season in Paraguay.
