Experienced Argentinian Juan Luis Abeiro (200-C/F-1988) had a great game in the last round for Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 37-year old had a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Colonias (#2, 7-1) 83-90. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. The third best performed player last round was another Colonias' star - Lithuanian Norbertas Giga (208-F/C-1995). Giga showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Colonias Gold, helping his team with a 90-83 win against #4 ranked Felix Perez. Colonias is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 7-1 record is not that bad... Giga has a great season in Paraguay. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.2rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 4.3apg (6th best).
