Marques' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Eduardo Marques had a very impressive game in the last round for Deportivo Amambay and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 42 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed San Alfonso (#8, 1-9) with 40-point margin 108-68. Thanks to this victory Amambay moved-up to the 6th position in Paraguayan league. Amambay is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. Marques just recently signed at Amambay, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Marques has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.8rpg) and averages solid 50.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Juan Luis Abeiro (200-C/F-1988) of Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion. He is Argentinian in his first season at Felix Perez. In the last game Abeiro recorded an impressive 23 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Felix Perez lost that game 77-86 to the higher-ranked Olimpia K. (#1, 9-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Felix Perez still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Abeiro is one of the most experienced players at Felix Perez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 10.6rpg and 3.9apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Amambay's star - Osmar Do Amaral. Do Amaral scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Deportivo Amambay, helping his team with a 108-68 easy win against slightly lower-ranked San Alfonso (#8, 1-9). The chances of Amambay ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Do Amaral could help Amambay to bring them higher in the standings. The season just started for Do Amaral as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.
