Schiavo number one in Paraguay LNBF for round 5 (by Hoops Agents)

Uruguayan Forward Lucia Schiavo (174-F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Deportivo San Jose, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (11 points, nine rebounds and eight assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Sol de Amer. (#4, 0-4) with 48-point margin 81-33. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Deportivo SJ maintains the 3rd position in Paraguayan LNBF. Deportivo SJ is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Schiavo had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Deportivo SJ, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lucia Schiavo has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 7.3rpg) and assists (4th best: 3.7apg).

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Adela Cardenas (180-C-1999) of Sol de America Asuncion. Cardenas had a very good evening with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Sol de Amer. lost that game 33-81 to slightly higher-ranked Deportivo SJ (#3, 1-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Sol de Amer. still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Cardenas is a newcomer at Sol de Amer., but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.0ppg (#4). She also registered 7.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Stephie Fajardo of league's top team Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion. Fajardo scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Felix Perez, leading her team to a 70-57 easy win against #2 ranked Olimpia. Felix Perez started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Fajardo turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. The season just started for Fajardo as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.
