La Salle lands Shaquilla Curtis, ex Rapido

Shaquilla Curtis

La Salle (Liga Nacional) tabbed American guard Shaquilla Curtis (175, college: American). She played in the summer at played at Rapido in Salvadorean Liga Mayor. In 13 games she averaged impressive 19.5ppg, 16.5rpg (#3 in the league), 5.7apg (top 2), 2.8spg (in top 5) and 1.1bpg. Curtis helped them to make it to the semifinals. She can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Latinbasket.com All-El Salvador Liga Mayor Clausura 2nd Team.
Among other achievements her college team won Patriot League Tournament in 2015. Curtis received also All-Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2015.
She has played also professionally in Mexico (Nueceras).
Curtis graduated from American University in 2015 and it will be her third season in pro basketball.
