Liga de Lima Round 10: Circolo loses to Regatas in the game between Top 4 teams

Very significant was Regatas' (#1, 9-0) victory against 3rd ranked Circolo (5-4) 61-29. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Circolo. Undefeated Regatas (9-0) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Circolo at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with San Borja. Regatas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Circolo will play against Seirin and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Bottom-ranked Seirin (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to fourth ranked San Borja (5-4) 57-36. San Borja moved-up to third place, which they share with Circolo. Newly promoted Seirin still closes the standings with nine games lost. San Borja will play against league's second-placed Real Club in Lima in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Seirin will play against Circolo (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Real Club (7-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Palmeras (1-6). Real Club smashed Palmeras 92-41 on Sunday. Real Club maintains second position with 7-1 record having just three points less than leader Regatas. Palmeras lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the sixth place with six games lost. Real Club will meet at home San Borja (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Palmeras will play against Naval and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
