Alvin Nance
The Lima Wolpack franchise has been accepted to participate as one of the teams for the upcoming LBL's Primary League 2023 season in Peruvian basketball, according to its founder and CEO, American player Alvin Nance (196-F-1987, college: Philander Smith).
The team is now looking for players for the season. If the win, they'll advance to the LBL's Superior League. This organization was established two years ago by Alvin Nance, who has the all-time LBL record for points scored in a game with 71, achieved back in the 2014 season.
The mission of the Wolfpack, as described by Nance is "to build a championship culture and to thelp develop the national Peruvian athletes, while also giving guys the opportunity to start their career as a rookie". Nance added that "giving back to the culture while helping change people's lives was the reason I started this organization".
He's very thankful to the LBL for the opportunity of a lifetime and hopes to "help build the Peruvian brand of basketball".
The Lima Wolfpack has been playing in the Basket Lima Sur tournaments so far. Alvin Nance has also played in leagues of Bolivia, Mexico and France.
