LNB 2023 - Group A - Liga Claretiana and Real Amistad win opening matches

Peru's Liga Nacional de Baloncesto (LNB) started its 2023 Men's Tournament with a couple of Group A games played in Huancayo. It's the return of the country's main league after a three-year halt.
Liga Claretiana (1-0) and Real Amistad (1-0) were able to start the tournament with victories. Liga Claretiana defeated Dinamico de Nuevo Chimbote (0-1), 78-57, while Real Amistad Molina took down Sherekhan of Huancayo (0-1), 78-57.
Venezuelan Reimer Machado (185-G-1989) led Claretiana with an impressive performance: 23 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. Another Venezuelan, Cesar Mussett (190-G-1978), supported him with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Santiago Penalver (185-G-1988) added 12 points and 3 assists.
For Dinamico, Venezuelan Hayber Rojas (202-PF-1996) completed a double double of 12 points, 10 assists and a block, while fellow Venezuelan Samir Llovera added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Alexander Apolinario also scored 12 points and Frederick Gil finished up with 10.
Meanwhile, Real Amistad based its success on three key players. Leho Alcalde led them with 21 points, followed by Alvin Nance (196-F-1987, college: Philander Smith) with 19 points, 8 rebounds 5 steals and a block. Venezuelan Royeiker Duran added 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 8 steals and 2 blocks.
For Sherekhan, Luis Garcia completed a double double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, adding 2 blocks. Sthefennson Campos added 13 points and Fernando Panduro 12 more.
