LNB 2023 - Group A - Liga Claretiana wins second straight, Dinamico surprises Real Amistad

Peru's Liga Nacional de Baloncesto (LNB) started its 2023 Men's Tournament and the second matchday of Group A games, played in Huancayo, saw Liga Claretiana (2-0) win its second straight match, this time against Sherekhan (0-2), while Dinamico (1-1) surprised Real Amistad (1-1).
Liga Claretiana (2-0) took down Sherekhan (0-2) with a final score of 77-60, thanks to another dominant performance by Venezuelan Reimer Machado (185-G-1989), who finished up with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a couple of steals. Fellow Venezuelan Cesar Mussett (190-G-1978) added 18 points, 2 rebounds an assist and a steal. Santiago Penalver (185-G-1988) added 13 points, 5 boards and 5 assists.
For Sherekhan, Luis Garcia Ruiz completed a double double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Sthefennson Campos added 13.
Dinamico de Nuevo Chimbote (1-1) defeated Real Amistad de Molina (1-1) in a close match, 77-74. Venezuelan Samir Llovera led the winners with 26 points and 5 rebounds and fellow Venezuelan Hayber Rojas (202-PF-1996) completed a double double of 11 points and 15 rebounds, adding 3 blocks and an assist. Gabriel Pastorino finished up with 15 points and Alexander Apolinario added 10.
For Real Amistad, Royeiker Duran was impressive with 27 points, 4 steals, 2 rebounds and an assist, followed by Nito Roca with 16 points and Alvin Nance (196-F-1987, college: Philander Smith) with 11 points and 6 rebounds.
