LNB 2023 - Group B - Universitario and Antarqui start with victories

Peru's Liga Nacional de Baloncesto (LNB) started its 2023 Group B action in Tacna. Universitario (1-0) defeated San Marcos (0-1) 82-80 and Antarqui (1-0) took down Edech (0-1), 89-80.

Universitarios took advantage of a great attacking performance by Venezuelan Moises Teixeira (180-PG-1992), who scored 29 points and got help from Mario Mendoza with 19. For San Marcos, Walter Ochochoque finished up with 15 points.

Venezuelan Edgar Sifontes (185-G/F-1985) led Antarqui with 27 points, followed by fellow Venezuelan Carlos Berroteran (206-C-1989, college: Odessa JC) with 11. For Edech, J Bogao scored 37 points and D Utrera added 20.
