Comunicaciones and Medicina have won the Final Four openers in Peru. Comunicaciones edged Las Águilas 56-50. They managed to push the tempo for good at the end to seal the win.
Medicina meanwhile needed a thriller to beat Real Club. Medicina escaped with an 85-83 win for a 1-0 record.

Venezuelan Sharol Renault (170-F-1986) led Comunicaciones with 19 points, while fellow Venezuelan Vanessa Candallo (1996) was the top scorer for Las Aguilas alongside Elizabeth Alfonzo, both with 13 points each.

Meanwhile, Medicina dominated Real Club de Lima, 85-83. Consuelo Velez led the winners with 30 points, while Venezuelan Thalia Garcia (177-F/G-1994) was the best offensive player for Real Club with 26 points.
