Club Medicina de Ica Complete a Three-Peat in Peru's Women's National League

Club Deportivo y Cultural Medicina de Ica are champions of Peru once again, holding off Comunicaciones de Huancayo 68-63 in the final to win the 2026 Liga Nacional de Basketball Femenino and make it three national titles in a row.
The victory, sealed at the San Vicente de Paul school coliseum in Ica, ratified the crowns Medicina had claimed in 2024 and 2025, cementing the Ica side as the dominant force in the Peruvian women's game. The 2026 LNBF gathered the country's best eight clubs, with a qualifying stage staged in Huancayo and Cusco (Calca), each team reinforced by two foreign players alongside the top national talent, before the competition came down to a final four.
In that climactic quadrangular, Medicina took the title ahead of runners-up Comunicaciones, with Club Halcones AF of Cajamarca claiming the bronze medal and Club Basketball Sin Fronteras finishing fourth.
There was individual consolation for the beaten finalists: Comunicaciones' Cuban-born guard Consuelo Velez, a naturalized Peruvian, was named both the final's best player and the tournament's top scorer.
